JUNIOR ADVANCED TEAM (“JAT”)
Our Junior Advanced team is comprised of the best riders in Blue Shadows under the age of 18. The “JAT” team participates in advanced competitions across the Western United States. This team involves a high level of dedication to Blue Shadows and a commitment to perform the most intricate drills possible at a fast pace.
The JAT team competes against many other talented drill teams and with much hard work and dedication, Blue Shadows has ridden away as the California State Champions for the past eight years, Western States Drill Team Champions in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Western States Reserve Champions in 2010, and current Reserve Champions for 2014.
SENIOR ADVANCED TEAM (“SAT”)
Our Senior Advanced Team is primarily built from the officers of Blue Shadows over the age of 18. Not only do our senior riders commit to this team, but they also teach the youth of our organization. Like the JAT team, the Senior team competes against other advanced senior teams outside of Blue Shadows, across the Western United States. Senior Advanced Drill is proud to have won the Western States Senior Drill Team Competition in 2010, 2011, 2012 and Coto Cup Champions in 2013!
OTHER ADVANCED TEAMS
Blue Shadows has also competed and performed in other various team divisions! We have done TEP (Troopers Equitation Program) teams, quad teams (4 to 6 member teams performing in a slightly smaller arena space), and even mixed teams (members from both the junior and senior age divisions)!
